Refund Policy

At Artgatha, each piece is handcrafted with care and shipped securely. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
1. Return Eligibility
We accept return requests within 3 days of delivery for the following reasons only:
- The product arrived damaged or broken in transit
- The product has a manufacturing defect
- You received an incorrect item
We do not accept returns for change of mind, size or colour preference after an order has been placed.
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Custom or made-to-order artworks — pieces produced to your specific size, colour, or design requirements
- Products with visible signs of use, tampering, or damage caused after delivery
- Items returned without original packaging
3. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, contact us within 3 days of delivery:

Please include your order number and clear photographs or an unboxing video showing the damage or defect. We strongly recommend recording an unboxing video at the time of delivery — this is the most effective proof for transit damage claims.
For external (visible) damage at the time of delivery, please note it on the delivery receipt before the courier leaves.
4. Inspection and Approval
Once we receive your return request and supporting evidence, our team will review it within 2 business days. We will notify you of approval or rejection by email. Approved returns will be collected via courier pickup (where available) or you may be asked to self-ship the item back to us.
5. Replacement vs. Refund
- Products above ₹9,000: If damaged in transit, these are replaced with an identical piece. A refund is not provided unless a replacement is unavailable.
- Products below ₹9,000: Subject to approval, you may receive a replacement or a full refund.
- Out-of-stock replacement: If we are unable to provide a replacement, a full refund or store credit will be issued within 7 business days.
- EMI orders: Eligible for replacement only in case of damage or defect. Refunds are not provided for EMI transactions.
6. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned product at our facility. The refund is credited to the original payment method (UPI, credit/debit card, net banking, etc.).
Please note the following:
- A 5% payment gateway fee is deducted from refunds.
- Express shipping charges are non-refundable.
- EMI orders are eligible for replacement only. Returns and refunds are not available for orders placed via EMI.
- Bank processing times may add 3–5 additional business days before the amount reflects in your account.
7. COD (Cash on Delivery) Orders
COD orders are eligible for exchange only in the case of damaged or defective items. An unboxing video is required for COD damage claims. Cash refunds are not available for COD orders; Replacement will be issued instead.
COD orders above ₹10,000 require a 10% advance payment at the time of order confirmation.
8. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before they are dispatched. Once an order is shipped, cancellation is not possible and the standard return process applies. For custom or made-to-order artworks, cancellation is not accepted once production has begun. Please see our Cancellation Policy for full details.
9. Shipping Damage
If your package appears damaged externally upon delivery, please mention this on the courier's delivery receipt before accepting the parcel and photograph the damage immediately. For internal (concealed) damage discovered after opening, send photographs or a video to hello@artgatha.com within 3 days of delivery.
10. Return Shipping
For eligible returns within India, Artgatha will arrange courier pickup at no additional charge. In some cases, we may ask you to self-ship the item, and reasonable shipping costs will be reimbursed upon receipt. Artgatha reserves the right to accept or decline return and exchange requests that do not meet the conditions stated in this policy.
